Thirteen years after we chose optimum grapes -- Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo -- from our oldest vines, and after meticulous, slow ageing, the long-awaited moment has arrived to present a wine with such quality, ample range of aromas and potential that we consider it deserves, for the first time in the long history of this brand created in 1890, to be termed a 'Special Selection'.

This milestone also coincides with the celebration in 2015, of the 125th anniversary of La Rioja Alta, S.A., an event we are celebrating with the new golden capsule employed for this vintage.
