€200,000 in solidarity earmarked for Burkina Faso, Haiti, Cape Verde, Chad, and Bolivia

The Allocation Committee of Viña Ardanza Solidario, the cooperation program of the winemaking group La Rioja Alta, S.A., has announced the five agricultural and commercial projects in developing countries to which it will allocate nearly €200,000 throughout 2024 thanks to 1% of its annual consolidated net profits and contributions from board members, shareholders, and employees.

After a thorough study and evaluation of the twenty applications received for this new edition, the finally selected proposals are those of the Spanish NGOs ACNUR Navarra in Chad, AMYCOS in Bolivia, Fundación Religiosos para la Salud in Cape Verde, Medicus Mundi Bizkaia in Rwanda, and Solidaridad Internacional in Haiti.

According to Maite de Aranzabal, Board Member of La Rioja Alta, S.A. and chief driver of Viña Ardanza Solidario, "These are five very exciting, long-lasting projects that we will once again closely monitor throughout the year in a very rigorous manner. Some of them are already in their second or third year of implementation, with very interesting results that we wish to continue promoting and of which we feel tremendously proud."

Launched in 2007 by the winery La Rioja Alta, S.A., the Viña Ardanza Solidario program has already allocated €2 million from its annual results to the development of international agricultural initiatives in impoverished countries. It is a commitment to corporate social responsibility that made the house of Barrio de la Estación the first winery in the country and one of the first Spanish companies to make such a determination, for which it received in 2017 the Social Enterprise Award from the Mundo Ciudad Foundation in the category of 'Best CSR Project in Wine Producing Wineries' and, in 2021, the Solidarity National Award from CaixaBank Private Banking.
